Dear Internets,
I am so very excited! It's 3 months until the stitches and craft show! It'll be a fantastic opportunity to see whats new in the crafting world and they have workshops, hurrah! Now shall I take my wonderful little sarahteaa?
Never trust a man who, when left alone in a room with a tea cosy, doesn’t try it on.
-Billy Connolly, Comedian.
I'm also really looking forward to ESMOD showcasing their coture and antique clothing a well as 'the teacosy revolution". Bring teacosy back from nanna's house I say! I hope my teapot that's getting a little chilly is listening

Dear Internets,
Mood: Late (which is not a mood)
I'm currently away for work and I've taken my camera incase I stumble upon something note worthy.
This is what I found today:
Here lies the remains of George Maddis, accidentally killed by a wagon passing over him, 1882, aged 35. Nothing else is known of him. a british settler

Occasionally the weekend affords you the opportunity to have a lazy morning with the people you love. I love making a massive breakfast and getting everyone to eat together on those days, probably because that's what mum and dad used to do when I was little. Usually it's baconand eggs but I thought i'd go for something different. One of my favourite indulgent breakfast is mascapone on toasted white bread with strawberries, honey and mint, not a very catchy title, but delicious none the less!
The first batch was gobbled up quite quickly so I had to make a second. J asked if we could try it with bananas and that worked too! My theory is anything that could go in a milkshake would taste great.

Why do I always feel tired on sundays? Unexpectedly ended up at the markets again today but here's a find from yesterday. Now I just have to find the opportunity to wear it.

Dear Internets,
Mood: Busting
Is there anything more dreadful than waiting in the transit lounge of an airport? Sure they have exotic fast food like popeyes 'biscuits' but the chairs are never quite comfortable enough and it takes an eagle eye and olympian speed to gather enough seats to sleep on. I was stuck in this situation a little while ago.
The time between my first and second flight was such that I could only get out of the airport for a short while, and after the lethargy of a long flight the last thing anyone needs is a longer day of walking around in a non english speaking foreign country. I resolved to park myself on the only single seater available and sketch.
She's a little gangly and she doesn't seem like much fun but i like her none the less. What do you think?

I was sifting through the many many stupid photos I've been taken and Sarahteaa stopped at this one.
His name is Gnome and he's been in the family for about a year. I met him at a work conference. He was sitting inappropriately in the middle of the table and that bright blue hat and gorgeous tan really caught my attention. Noone was really sure why he was there, all we knew was he was coming home with me.Call him a fleusy if you will. Since then he has been scuttleing about the place Amelie style, scaring unsuspecting victims/u> u=""> u="">> u="">>
Note: My sister and I like to discreetly place him in each others rooms. Once I left him standing right outside her door and when she opened it she freaked! Good times :)
He's not usually that naughty though. He spends the majority of his time standing at my window sil staring at the "annoying neighbourhood children", his words not mine. He's turned into quite the hobit these days and as you can tell, his tan has suffered a great deal. He takes solace in his silver ikebana scissors and his flower arrangements are quite a sight to behold.

Dear Internets,
Mood: Uncomfortable full!
Last weekend sarahteaa and I decided to try some modified versions of Bakerella's cake balls. It probably wasn't the best idea since we had a million other things to make for her birthday. She was having a cluedo party and baking a gun cake (which i'll post next, don't want to overload you you see) was clearly more imperitive. The cake balls were delicious as you'd expect but a little too gooey. Accidentally put an entire one in your mouth and death by indulgence could be expected. Back to the drawing board I guess. Her last cookies and cream tasting batch which i didn't have a camera for *alas* were much better.
On another note, I stumbled upon rockstar diaries . I'd come across the cute photos of taza and her prince before but it was my first time at her blog. She had happy lists on there made by all different people and I couldn't help but make a happy list of my own. Everyone has so many different ideas and there are so many things that I didn't even realise made me happy like lovely cool sheets. Man was it difficult to narrow it down
1. When he holds my face when we kiss
2. Catching up with my little sister and her TV obsessions
3. Giving friends little gifts for no reason
4. Taking photos when people aren't paying attention
5. Brightly colour shoe laces
6. Cooking from a new recipe
7. Board games!
8. Hearing my doggy playing on his own with his squeaky toy
9. DnM's with my cousins when i get to cross the oceans to see them
10.BOOKS: Novels, biographies, children's books, the older the better

Dear Internets,
Mood: In suspense!
I'm about to invest in a "dreamboat" rant so I thought it would be only fair to give you some music to read to:
Meet Paul Dempsey, he's the lead singer and guitarist of "something for Kate" and has recently launched a solo career. I heard a sneak peak of his album Out the Airlock,on triple J and rejoiced! What do you think of it?
I missed Master chef this week, thank goodness for reruns. One of the contestants was put up against a the celebrity chef, Manu Feildel! The difficulty was that the contestant was so lovable and it seems natural to want him to win but I was backing Manu! Ok fine, it's because he's a dreamboat! With that accent, mad cheffing skills and jovial larikan like personality, how could you go wrong? Noone else seems to know who I'm talking about but I don't much care. I'm just waiting for the deliberation. We all know who's going to win right?

Dear Internets,
Mood: Amused
I'm watching GNW and looking at photos Seph and I took yesterday during the 21st birthday celebration of Darling Harbour!
Since we made the huge trek into town and that doesn't happen too frequently we had some errands to run: 1st stop world Square for some shopping goodness and to nourish life points at Bread Top. CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE!
Once I had finished chucking a tantrum about $40 silicone mp3 player cases and I'd had my fill of ice tea, we made our way to the harbour. 1st stop, mini stage with multicultural dancers. 'Seph was rabbiting on about the lovely dancers while I took my Olympus for a real test drive!
The day was a little on and off due to my increasing frustrations with hyperinflation but over all I always enjoy my time with 'Seph. We wandered around and bought vanilla pecan fudge for the family. Even when the scary clowns and 70's dancers on stilts came out in parade fashion we found solace in the free lollies being handed out. And they said you should never accept candy from strangers!
The executive decision was made to wait it out untill the fireworks began despite having a meeting the next morning. They were on pretty early and the crowd wasn't nearly as bad as i remember enduring as a child during new years. Ins short, good location + fewer people = fireworks win!
I must admit the wait was long and my butt got a little numb sitting on the dock but I haven't enjoyed fireworks this much since I celebrated Christmas in a country which allows the purchase and blowing up of fireworks
