Dear Internets,
Today I went to nerd fest, also known as supernova. I had trouble finding the place but I was fortunate enough to have a large number of oddly dressed girls to stalk. As I paid fare and walked through the gates I encountered a robot attacking a girl dressed as Pacman. That accident alone was worth the entry fee!
My friends were cleverly disguised as nerds so they looked like they were meant to be there.
The first event was novice wrestling and in the epic battle between scient nerd and ghetto guy, ghetto guy won, what a surprise! After the 1st 10 minute match (and there were 2 more left) the girls got bored and decided to wander around and look at all the stalls.
I uncharacteristically bought a cute beanie with plaid rabbit ears and a cartooney skull appliqued on it and we revelled in the joy that was men and women in sometimes embarassing, usually expensive costumes. The ghosty busters were one of my faves
I paid almost 10 dollars for chips and a soft drink and retired to the free poster stand as they had the most comfortable cube shaped chairs. My my all that walking was tiring. Time for some last moments of R&R before the week begins.
Happy end of the weekend everyone! I hope yours was as eventful as mine

Dear Internets,
Looks like 'happy couple' of cooking for carnivores wins! Could you please send me your e-mail address so I can snail mail you. I must admit, I had a lot of fun drawing out the winner.
So the weekend is near. Time to sleep in, enjoy the weather, have a picnic and catching up on reading, movies, Tv shows or music
I personally plan on the sleeping in bit. If I could land in something by Serendipity, Paris I would be a happy girl. Oh How I love that little side table that looks like a log and the lamp

Dear Internets,
The problem is, I enjoy many more things than there are hours in the day. The one that I seem to be neglecting is my artistic side, which is a shame, as it just so happens to be my good side. Cooking, baking, making things, fixing things, drawing, painting, I love it all and the more original, the better.
My point is: On the weekend I made a necklace! And you thought I was just a pretty face ;P
Oh I wish I could make more and share it wether you like it or not

Dear Internets,
It's usually the kind of thing I would point and laugh at like supre jump suits, harem pants and fanny packs but I have bought myself a romper! It's comfy and looks pretty and is quite fun to prance in, demonstrated on the weekend when I pranced about in it. So what say you? Am I just another unknowing fashion victim? If so haul me away, I'd like to be buried in it.

Dear Internets,
I bought shoes! I usually only buy to replace things or if i'm really in love. This time around it was love! I've been eyeing off some ballet flats for a while but it wasn't worth the exorbitant price the 'Keds' brand can incur sometimes but that's why we love mid year sales right?
So today I took pics of my fave shoes. I've become so attached that I know it will be a sombre day when they die from severe over use + it was a good way to figure out how to take photos.

Dear Internets,
The above is what my 14 year old sister and her friends got up to while i was galavanting about in melbourne. I have to admit I was pretty impressed and they looked like they had loads of fun which is always a plus
Melbourne, swine flu capitol of the world, was freezing cold and quirky. Randome red steps that did nothing, turning right from the left lane, and more sculptures than you can poke a stick at and believe me I tried :) I shopped, i wedding-ed i laughed and i got annoyed, it was a roller coaster ride. The main event was the wedding and I dont want to overload you now but the venue, poet's lane, was so beautiful. My next post will be photo crazy.
And don't forget...Give away time soon. I've already got half of it ready *so excited*
hoping she doesn't have flu like symptoms

Dear Internets,
Bazooka chewing on 1 of 15 custom made skate boards,
Spotted @ Reuters
I'm stuck waiting for my car to get serviced, and unfortunately, it looks like it will take most of the day, which means I'll be spending a lot of time catching up at work. Thats always fun now isn't it? On the plus side I get to watch TV and surf the net while I wait, which leads me to my next question, have you heard of Bazooka, the japanese skateboarding wonder dog? It's your typical puff piece that I normally ignore along the vein of "how fab is little miss syrus" but this was just too cute.
Bazooka is pittbull who lives in Tokyo and rides a skate board. Apparently he has 15 skate boards and cool jumpers and collars to get all his 'bitches' jealous. The best part of the video was when Bazooka rode past and all the other dogs in the park moved their heads watching him pass. The video is on Reuters, should you ever get bored or need fodder for unnecessary entertaining work e-mails
Wondering if she can teach her beagle to skateboard

Dear Internets,
It's freezing cold and I am stupidly wearing sandles. My calves hurt which is not a good sign right?
The solution? Warm up in style thanks to Ashidashi
They even have ones that look like well marbled beef which is slightly odd yet compelling... I want some funky socks! Perhaps I'll wish them into existance *scrunches eyes and makes a wish on imaginary candles*
With acheycalves and a imaginary candle wishes
