Wedding Wednesday
She ranted on: Wednesday, October 14, 2009 | Time: 11:10 PM
Dear Internets,

I think this may be the last installment of wedding wednesday until I get a specific request. It's just hitting a little close to home and I will totally end up organising Hanna's wedding for her, rather than just offering images.

This wednesday we look at the DIY wedding. I'm just amazed by the amount of talent out there. I don't know if I could do it, despite secretly wanting to do everything my self including the cake, for monetary and control reasis

[Lazy seamstress] - can you believe she made this for her friends wedding? Insane!

[Let them eat cake] I can't figure out it that is fabric or chocolate lace

I think there's a certain type of person or age group or something. noone minds when they cut corners on their wedding. Where is that line? Do crafty people have to be poor and are rich people allowed to be thrifty? I ask because at the last few weddings the favours have been delicious chocolate rather than boiled sweets with the couples name on it or champagne flutes. I thought it was quite good, and delicious! Those boiled sweets always got stale because I couldn't bring myself to eat them, and I now have a collection of mismatched glasswear. Bring on the chocolate!

WEDing wednesday3

Dear Internets,

So apparently it's about time I got married. Since when is 23 the new 40? Mum has offered to buy the wedding necklace, a tradition in my family in addition to rings. Hmm, let me ask my fiance...wait, that's right, I have to get me one of those first. Lol, my parents amuse me. The ambush probably has something to do with the string of weddings I have been to. I'm starting to run out of dresses. I really liked the one above which has a lace panel on the back, but i do believe I am too tall for it, perhaps if Iwas going clubbing... The shop assistant suggested that it wasn't that the dress was too short, but simply that my legs were too long. She then sweetly suggested I shrink. I'll work on that I suppose.

I went to my friend Mel's wedding on monday. There were many aspects about it that I so loved. For starters their vows wereat the beginning of the ceremony which meant they didn't have to be standing around biting their lip and sweating uncontrollably. At the reception they entered with their guests so they had enough time to mingle with everyone, and they had proper flavoured cake; Chocolate, caramel and vanilla mud cake. None of this rum and fruit business for her! I never understood why wedding cakes couldn't be as delicious as they were pretty.

Oh so pretty. Well I suppose I will have to hit the shops and try again with the dress thing. Oh well.

Wedding wednesday part two
She ranted on: Wednesday, September 30, 2009 | Time: 8:22 PM
Dear Internets & Hanna,

Good old wednesday, it should be called sucks day. I spent the whole beautiful day sitting in a boxed up room for essentially what was a 9 hour meeting. I did however get to emerge for a quick incredibly delicious lunch and a smorgasboard of dessert. You would have been sooo jealous! On to fun things. Wedding stuff! I just love the wedding topper! Is it strange for me to employ positive thinking and buy one?

they even have DIY versions you can paint!

Apocalypse wedding wednesday
She ranted on: Wednesday, September 23, 2009 | Time: 6:31 PM
Dear Internets,

I woke up this morning to a glow of red streaming in through the windows. This usually meant someone had deliberately lit a bush fire while I was sleeping. Radio's were blaring works like "apocalypse" and "hell". Why doesn't everyone just calm themselves right down. It is not the end of the world. It is simple a dust storm. Granted it's the worst we've ever seen but the heavens did not break open so I think we're pretty safe.

Since my morning was so filled with talks of THE end lets fill my night with beginnings. Nothing says beginning more that easter, babies and weddings. Since it's no where near easter and there is no bun in the over, weddings it is! My lovely friend Hanna has been mentioning how tired she is of seeing the same old thing in bridal magazines. I just think i'm far more enthusiastic about her engagement party than she is. Time for a regular segment. Wedding wednesdays; for a limited time only you get to frolic through the lovely photos I frolic through on a weekly basis. I feel like i'm making a muriel's wedding-esque scrap book. Please feel free to stop me before it get's tragic.
