Dear Internets,
[ Fringe ] a friend of fashion or reserved for bedazzlers and cowgirl motifs? Apart from my strange love for 1920's flapper style fringe dresses spawned from a very odd childhood, I have never been much of a fan of it. Cringe would probably be the most appropriate and coincidentally lyrical word association.
Well let me just say, I'm glad I didn't wear a hat today because I would have had to eat it. I am relishing fringe taking on new forms of long impractical embellishments, so much so that I made another unnecessary purchase! Not a winner in strong winds which is rather unfortunate since we are coming around to the Australian autumn, but still loving it.
Don't mind the photo colour inconsistancy. Unfortunately it went from being super cloudy to being super sunny half way through my jaunt. So what say you
FRINGE OR CRINGE?
You may also have noticed in the first pic that I have what appears to be very bright blue eye shadow. The truth is I was trying out some cool eyelash falsies in preparation for Tim Burton's Alice in wonderland. We're dressing up as characters on sunday and watching the movie at a special huge screen theatre complete with 3D. I know it's a nerd thing to do but it shuold freak me out of my mind, in a good way. I plan on being one of the rude flowers in the magical garden. Still haven't made an outfit though.
You'll soon find out how that one pans out and I promise no more super eyelash close up!
